The voice which came from the monster was something that should not have been. It was like someone mixed a Skitarii and a crab together to make whatever this thing was. Vaguely crab-like in appearance, sporting a set of mechanic's clothing as well as a yellow carapace with orange-brown details. It was no man who he met eyes with, but a monster. Fear began to spread throughout his body, and the invisible force finally allowed for his neck to crane ever so slightly to the left. Something was preventing him from moving. He tried every single time to crane his neck to the sound, but his neck was frozen stiff. It seemed to be some sort of steampunk inspired workshop.Īs the sound of clanging metal drowned out, he could hear the faint hum of a man. The young man, Lyon his name, complained releasing as what he could assume was a 'sigh' from his nonexistent lips. A bittersweet feeling that quickly turned sour. Part of him was glad that he could now enjoy the sweet silence without tinnitus in his ears at long last. Yet, his eyes were somehow open, his hearing was completely deaf. The world now was dark, cold, and lifeless. He could still remember hearing the loud crunch of his neck being snapped in two. And when he finally hit the ground with a bone-crunching thud, the computer, along with its polymer casing, fell onto his neck, snapping his vertebrae in two. Yet, during the fall, his hands slipped, dropping the expensive computer along with him. His bones impacting against the hard steps again and again, his head and torso impacting the ground, breaking bones and cracking limbs. His foot wobbled first, giving way as he collapsed down the concrete steps. Yet, clouded by his excitement and satisfaction, he had failed to notice the flight of stairs below his feet.
